Regret to have to inform you of the death on the 1st. July 2010 of Mrs Mary Elizabeth Guy, Llanmorlais, Swansea SA4 3TA. Widow of the late P.S.131 John Gwynfor Guy.

The Funeral was held on Friday 9th. July at Swansea Crematorium

Vera Mathews nee Cowell - Died suddenly at her home on 25th June. Vera was an Ammanford girl who joined the Swansea Police. It was not long before she became a Detective and spent most of her service in the CID. She was well liked by everyone who worked with her, a concientious officer with a a great sense of humour when the going got tough. Her booming laugh in serious situations cheered us up. She will be greatly missed"

The funeral took place on Thursday 8th July at Swansea Crematorium.

A Sympathy card has been sent to her family on behalf of the Branch.

Death of serving Staff member
It is with regret that we have to inform you of the death on 29th May, 2010 of Police Staff 54776 Andrew Winter-Jones who served in Learning and Development as a Design and Development Officer, Police Headquarters.

Previously he was employed as a Detective Sergeant 2865 who last served with the Volume Crime Team retiring 31st December, 2006

Funeral took place on Tuesday 8th June, 2010
at St. Margaret’s Church, Penylan, Cardiff followed by
Burial at Western Cemetery , Ely.

Evan David Griffith Rees (PC 260) known as David Rees, formerly of Clydach, Swansea, died in Cardiff on 29 April aged 79 years. David worked at Pontardawe prior to his retirement. He leaves his widow, Kathleen, son Trevor and grandsons Gareth and Owen.

His funeral took place on Monday 17 May at the Briwnant Chapel, Thornhill Crematorium, Cardiff.
